Educational requirement for an apprenticeship as a chef is at least one secondary school, but better GCSE. The would-be apprentice chef should be reasonably sure of the basic arithmetic operations, as it is from time to time, post recipes, convert them to specific individuals or numbers to calculate menu. It is also important as a chef, mentally and physically fit and to be able to handle stress well. Personal hygiene is also important as a chef.

Of course, it is a basic requirement as a cook, an above-average sense of taste and smell have. You also have to even like to eat and drink, because who sees food as a necessary evil that will never be a good cook. Also a good amount of creativity, openness to new products and new techniques and the willingness to work in other cities or even countries are prerequisites for a good chef.
